What started as a love for candles eventually became something much more. After years of filling our home with candles, some wonderful, some not so wonderful, Tiffany decided to start creating her own right from our kitchen. Before long, that small creative project turned into a passion, and Nordic Haus was born.
For us, Nordic Haus is more than a candle company. It’s a reflection of who we are, where we come from, and the things we value most: home, family, history, and creating spaces that feel warm and welcoming.
We’ve always been drawn to history and the stories that connect us to the past. Jeff spent years researching his family tree, tracing generations of ancestors through Scandinavia, Scotland, and beyond. Along the way, he uncovered fascinating stories, deep roots, and even a few surprising connections. Tiffany’s heritage is deeply rooted in Germany, shaped by traditions centered on family, simplicity, and meaningful living. As we explored our family histories, we discovered shared connections to the same northern regions and cultures that continue to inspire us today.
Those discoveries helped shape the heart behind Nordic Haus.
The name reflects our love of Scandinavian heritage and the cozy, welcoming spirit often associated with it, a place where people gather, slow down, and enjoy life’s simple moments. Every candle we create is meant to bring a little of that feeling into your home.

When I’m not pouring candles, you’ll find me bringing new life to our 1905 farmhouse, tending to little projects that make a house feel like home, or out in the garden with my hands in the soil.
And on the very best days, I’m spending time with our granddaughter, our sweetest new addition, welcomed in November 2025.

In May 2025, my husband and I had the opportunity to spend three wonderful weeks exploring England and Scotland. While we enjoyed every part of the journey, Scotland left the deepest impression on us. We were drawn to its breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and the peaceful pace of life that seemed to exist around every corner.
One of the highlights of our trip was visiting Edinburgh Castle, a place that stands as a powerful reminder of Scotland's enduring history and heritage. Equally memorable, though, were the unexpected discoveries along the way. During a leisurely hike, we stumbled upon the ruins of Mugdock Castle hidden among the trees. It wasn't a destination we had planned to visit, but it became one of our favorite memories of the trip.
Experiences like these continue to inspire us. They remind us to appreciate timeless craftsmanship, natural beauty, and the simple moments that often leave the greatest impact.

Our cotton wicks are lead-free, our wood wicks come from renewable resources, and every product we create is cruelty-free.
