Ours is a story rooted in time - woven with threads of heritage, curiosity, and deep reverence for those who came before us. My husband and I have always felt drawn to history, as though the echoes of the past were quietly calling us home. For him, that call became a journey - one that led him tracing his family line all the way back to the early 15th century. With each discovery came wonder, each name a whisper from another age. His lineage stretches even further, touching the legendary spirit of the Viking era - bold, enduring, and rich with story.
As for me, my roots run deep through German soil, grounded in tradition, warmth, and a love for simple, meaningful living. And somewhere along the way, our stories intertwined, like two paths meeting in a quiet forest clearing.
From that meeting of histories, of cultures, of shared admiration for where we come from… Nordic Haus was born.
It is more than just a name. It is a tribute. A blending of legacies. A cozy haven shaped by the past and shared in the present.

So truly, welcome. You’ve found our little corner of the world, and we’re so glad you’re here. I hope you linger awhile, breathe in the warmth, and perhaps even bring home a piece of our story through one of our handmade creations.
When I’m not pouring candles, you’ll find me bringing new life to our 1905 farmhouse, tending to little projects that make a house feel like home, or out in the garden with my hands in the soil.
And on the very best days, I’m spending time with our granddaughter—our sweetest new addition, welcomed in November 2025—soaking in all the joy she brings.

In May 2025, we spent three quiet, unforgettable weeks traveling through England and, most deeply, Scotland - drawn to the landscapes, the stillness, and the sense of history woven into everyday life.
The photo of Edinburgh Castle captures a place that feels both grounded and enduring, watching over the city with quiet strength. Just as meaningful, though, was the unexpected - like the ruins of Mugdock Castle, discovered by chance on a slow afternoon hike. Tucked into the trees, it felt untouched, simple, and deeply connected to the land.
These moments - both the iconic and the unplanned - continue to shape our perspective: creating pieces that feel timeless, intentional, and rooted in a sense of calm you can carry home.
